Piano Sonata No.4 - Eb minor

After the third sonata, in which I parted with the classical romantic style and tried to explore new paths, again doubts arose. Isn't it still easier to express all that I'm feeling with the help of the old and well known rules?
I decided to write at least one last sonata in the style of Beethoven. This one should by far surpass my first and second sonata; classical in its musical grammar, but yet very dramatic. First I planned to write more movements. But as for the frame, which is formed by the slow introduction that reoccurs at the end, it seemed appropriate to me, that this movement stands on its own.
